An Occurrence That Really Set One Over On Me

When I was still living in Alabama, I was talking to this lovely Black boy that lived in Mobile--he was about 26 then and was teaching. He liked me a lot and I liked him. He wanted to meet me--and so---although I hesitantly agreed--he drove four hours to meet me--after only having talked for about a week or so---and before he got to my house I told him to go back--because my parents were home and it would have been awkward. I absolutely regret that to this day....and it has set the bar a bit.
