Rosa Parks: From Cousin Betty

On the day she refused to yield her bus seat to a white man, Rosa Parks was remembering Emmett Till. The Chicago teen had been lynched in Mississippi only a few months before Parks' protest. His choked, axed, beaten and shot body was one of the sparks igniting the modern civil rights movement. I believe Trayvon Martin's unjustified and unpunished killing will help launch a stronger movement for equal justice.
