I am very greatful for people like J.S and his wife....great people....and I take a lot from them. I suppose I have learned that there is no such thing as a nurturing Phd program--that you must hold tight to your stomach and fight like hell...and play politics with the best of them. I have tried hard to shed my Elizabeth Rex tendencies, but I suppose now when someone bangs on the ceiling above me with pots and pans I'll just have to lock them in a tower and throw away the key........
