Forbes' 100 Most Powerful Women in the World
Forbes has recently published it's list of the 100 most powerful women in the world. The list has some great people included(yea Oprah, of course!) and some interesting suprises in terms of listings. For instance, the most wonderful Ruth Bader Ginsberg(dear we will keep you on the Supreme Court if we have to have you on life support on the bench)is at number 20, followed by Oprah at number 21. Melinda Gates falls surprisingly behind at number 24, followed by Hillary Clinton at 25(another surprise: the woman who may be the next president of the United States is behind Melinda Gates and Ruth Bader Ginsberg),and Nancy Pelosi at number 26(I can understand why she doesnt rank higher--she needs to get her act together and get those bitches in Congress in line!) and Michele Bachelet of Chile--a progressive leftist leader is at 27. The new female president of Harvard, Drew Gilpin Faust, is at 47. There are three Afro-American women in the top fifty(Condie-heifer, Oprah, and Renatta McCann of Starcom MediaVest) and there are tons of Chinese women. Biggest surprise: Meredith Viera ala Today Show and The View is at number 55. I guess bye-bye Katie Couric! Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, the much hailed president of Liberia-comes in at number 100.Interesting list no doubt.
